APPLE WALNUT SALAD RECIPE:
Ingredients:
1) Lettuce –
8 Cups chopped
2) Walnuts -3/4
cup walnuts halved
3) Apples -1
Medium apple
4) Feta
Cheese- 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
5) Balsamic
Vinaigrette – as per the required
6) Red onions-1/4 cup sliced thin
This apple
Walnut salad can be made immediately. The balsamic Vinaigrette can be prepared
in advance and refrigerated.
Dry fruits
& nuts with a combination of healthy veggies and fruits make it a nutritious
salad.
Prepare the
Vinaigrette – In a small bowl combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, Dijon
mustard & honey, Whisk until blended, Season to taste with salt &
pepper.
Assembling
of Salad – Make sure all our salad ingredients are ready to be assembled chopped,
sliced, etc. In a large bowl layer, the lettuce, apples, red onions, walnuts, and
feta. Drizzle with the desired amount of vinaigrette and serve immediately.
Lettuce is
one of the main ingredients in this salad. Its soft yet crunchy, but green leaf
lettuce, spinach, or romaine are all good substitutes.
Walnuts
make it Healthier and tastes different in this Salad. Also, you can add any dry
fruit of your choice too.
You can use
your favorite type of apples in it. Make sure to slice them just before serving
so that they don’t get brown.
